The Okanagan-Similkameen Starling Control Program is looking for a contract trappers for the Oliver/Osoyoos area and the Vernon/Armstrong area.
General duties:
-Maintain established trapping routes year-round
-Bait traps, dispose of starlings, maintain daily records
-Collect and store bait, store C02 canister
-Build relationships with land owners and staff
-Repair traps as needed
- Scout new trap locations
Training provided
Independent work, outdoors, in all weather conditions
Responsible to the BCGA Executive Director, Monthly reporting
Valid drivers license with clean drivers abstract
Must have truck
Hours vary with the season, regular work schedule: 3 days/week, 12-24 hours/ week
$28/hour plus expenses
Ideal as retirement income
